Selmer piccolo sawed

How to fix a sawed Selmer piccolo Trumpet


What's the problem ?

This Selmer piccolo trumpet have a little problem : The 4rd valve exit tube is sawed

We must make a ring to sold the parts.

Interresting detail : this trumpet have an autograph from Maurice André, a french famous trumpetist.


Preparing the work

In first we must to clean the wound. Scratching the sawed places to have a better solding.

We separate the different parts to make an easiest work..


Solding

We choose a pipe we the closest diameter we need.

And then we adjust untils we have the exact size for the ring.

Location of the ring before the weld.

Solding the ring on the elbow.

Assembly of the part on the trumpet, with the coldest possible flame to dont burn the trumpet lacque.


Last step

Then we must make some laque retouch.

...but only where is needed !

And this is the finished work.

This work is justified because is a good trumpet.
